Chicken Kiev with Cypriot lountza by Athena Loizidou

Προϊόντα που χρησιμοποιήσαμε στην συνταγή

Υλικά συνταγής

For 2 portions:

2 chicken breast fillets

100 gr. ground toast

1 egg beaten with salt, pepper and 1 teaspoon paprika

2 teaspoon olive oil


For the filling

200 gr. cream cheese

1 tablespoon chopped parsley

1 teaspoon lemon zest

Salt and pepper

6 slices of smoked lountza

Εκτέλεση συνταγής

1. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, the parsley and the lemon zest.

2. Place the chicken fillets on a cutting board and beat them lightly to increase their surface.

3. In the center of each fillet put the 1/2 cheese mixture, 3 slices of lountza and roll it. 

4. In a bowl, beat the beaten egg with the salt, pepper and paprika. Then, spread the toast on a plate.

5. Preheat the oven to 230 °C. Place a piece of baking paper in a pan.

6. Spread the chicken pieces first with the egg and then with the toast. Place them in the pan. Pour the olive oil over chicken pieces. Cover the pan, put in the oven and bake for 30 minutes. Then, bake them for another 10 minutes uncovered.

7. Serve with lemon slices and green salad.
