Which pan to choose?

nava

There are thousands of choices in cooking utensils and this makes your choice even more difficult. Do you want to know which pan is ideal for everyday cooking? The pans are made of different materials and have different coatings, so the selection process is quite complex.

Before buying, we always check if the pan is suitable for the type of our stove (electric, ceramic, gas, induction) but also the quality of the utensil, since for each type of frying the right pan is appropriate. Learn how to choose the right one for your kitchen!

1. Stainless Steel pan

Stainless steel pans are suitable for all types of cooking. They are very resistant to high temperatures, robust and easy to use. In them we can fry everything! But it is necessary to add enough oil, because they are not non-stick and the materials can stick to the bottom, also it is not the best heat conductor.

2. Cast iron pan

Cast iron is a very good conductor of heat and it is extremely durable! The cast iron pan is ideal for sautéring, as the ingredients do not stick to the bottom, as well as an ideal choice if you follow a healthy diet, since you do not need to add any oil or butter. On the downside, it can be very heavy!

Meet the new generation and high quality cast iron pans "Atlas" with ceramic coating.

“Atlas” cookware are manufactured from cast iron and they have stainless steel handles. They are aimed for use in professional kitchens (restaurants or hotels) as well as in all types of home stoves, while additionally they are suitable for direct use in the oven. The special honeycomb surface provides long-lasting durability to everyday use and high resistance to scratches. The additional coating ensures the anti-corrosive protection of the surface while at the same time improves its non-stick properties.

3. Pan with enamel Coating

Enamel pans are like cast iron pan but with an enamel coating. This coating protects the cast iron from rust, facilitates its cleaning and also does not require the "seasoning" process. If you want to sauté the ingredients before cooking, enamel is not the best utensil.

4. Pan with non-stick stone coating

A special category of non-stick pans are utensils with non-stick stone coating.

The excellent and durable non-stick coating, offers high resistance to abrasion and high temperatures, while they are produced in such a way that there is a significant reduction in carbon dioxide emissions and do not contain PFOA.

Non-stick coatings give long life to utensils. They ensure perfectly healthy cooking, with a perfect taste like cooking on natural stone. Utensils with non-stick stone coating are very easy to clean.

5. Non-stick pan

The non-stick pan is now the easy solution in cooking, as it does not require any fat in the frying. In addition, these pans are very easy to clean. This pan is suitable when you want to cook something that is quite sticky and requires a medium or low temperature. But be careful not to leave this pan for long hour on the stove, especially without any oil, because the non-stick coating will be damaged. Also, remember to use only wooden or plastic spoons so as not to damage it.

6. Pan with ceramic coating

The ceramic coating is made of natural materials that usually come from sand. The required cooking temperature is much lower than that of traditional non-stick cookware and for this reason there is a significant reduction in carbon dioxide emissions. They do not contain lead or cadmium and no PTFE or PFOA are used for their construction. They do not release toxic fumes in case of unpredictable overheating and for this reason they are recommended for families with small children. The ceramic coating helps to distribute heat evenly over the entire surface of the utensils. Thus, cooking can be done at a low temperature saving energy.
