What food should I make today? 2+1 easy and delicious recipes!

Every day it will cross your mind at least once "what food to cook today, what to cook tomorrow?" Yes ... these are some questions that concern us all. Even in more special moments you will have caught yourself searching for the right recipe on the internet to cook the most delicious food for your loved ones.

Most of the time we search and think based on the materials we want to use (legumes, vegetables, meat, chicken, fish). Obviously this is a beginning... but even so you may find yourself in a "culinary" impasse! For this reason in this article we will suggest you some of our favorite recipes that will solve your hands. Here comes the surprise, we will help you cook with a different way of thinking and choosing: based on the utensil!

1. Pasta with chicken in tomato sauce in a saucepan


An easy and traditional recipe that you can make in a casserole is pasta with chicken in tomato sauce. It is delicious and ideal for Sunday food. Her secret? Let the spaghetti boil in the sauce we make for the chicken!

The materials you will need are:

Chicken cut into pieces

1 pack of pasta

4 tablespoons olive oil

2 - 3 tablespoons flour

1 sprig of fresh thyme

2 teaspoon garlic

1 bay leaf

1 small onion

1 carrot

2/3 cup of white dry wine

2 packages of whole peeled cherry tomatoes

grated kefalotyri

salt

freshly ground pepper

Implementation:

After the chicken has come to room temperature, dry it with swabs with an absorbent paper. Put the chicken on a plate and sprinkle with a little flour, salt and pepper. Mix well and in a large casserole heat the olive oil over high heat, slowly shielding all the chicken pieces. Once it turns pink, chop your vegetables, onion, garlic and carrot and throw them in the center of the pot. Once they soften a little, it's time to extinguish with your wine! Once the liquids are reduced by ⅔ add the cherry tomatoes as well as 1 glass of water. Once it starts to boil, lower the heat and let the food simmer for about 1 hour and 30 minutes (until the chicken is tender). For the last 10 minutes add the thyme and bay leaf. Once the chicken is ready, remove it with a slotted spoon and place it on a plate. Put 2 glasses of boiling water in the pot and as soon as it boils, lower the heat and add the pasta (the heat should be low so that all our liquids are not absorbed quickly). Once the pasta has absorbed most of the sauce, you can turn off the heat and serve it with the chicken. And of course… do not forget the kefalotyri!

2. Potatoes with butter sauce in the pan


Have you ever tried butter potatoes in the fry pan? If not, here is the time! This is a light meal but also a delicious accompaniment to a festive table. An easy recipe full of aromas that you can make really fast!

You will need:

1/2 kg baby potatoes thinly sliced (cut in half)

50 gr. of butter

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 cup of chicken broth

2 tablespoon mustard

the juice of a small lemon

salt

pepper

1-2 pinches of fresh thyme or oregano

Implementation:

Choose small baby potatoes with a thin skin and after washing them, dry them well with absorbent paper. After cutting in half, add the butter and olive oil in a deep fry pan over medium to high heat. Saute the potatoes for 2 to 3 minutes on each side and let them soak in the butter for another 5 minutes until their flesh begins to look transparent (over low heat). Then add the broth, cover the pan with a lid and leave the potatoes for 15 minutes. Once softened, add salt, pepper, thyme or oregano. Then dissolve the mustard in the juice and pour the whole mixture into the pan. After mixing well, we are ready to serve!

3. Beef steaks marinated in the grill pan


Everyone loves BBQ. That is why our third favorite recipe is the beef steaks on the grill pan with a perfect marinade that always makes them soft and delicious. The secret; Leave your steaks marinated in the fridge for 1 hour! This way they will become juicy so that you can cook them in just 12 minutes!

Ingredients for the recipe:

2 large beef steaks

1/2 cup olive oil

1/2 cup balsamic vinegar

2 sprigs of fresh rosemary

1 clove garlic

Salt Pepper

rocket (small leaves)

Implementation:

We start our recipe with the marinade. In a blender, beat the olive oil, the balsamic, the rosemary leaves, the garlic, the salt and the pepper and after the mixture is homogenized, pour it on the plate where we have the beef steaks. After making sure that the marinade is present in all parts of our steak, we cover the plate with a kitchen film and place it in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. Once a sufficient period of time has passed, let our steaks come to room temperature for 30 minutes. Wipe the marinade with a paper towel and at this point, heat your grill pan over high heat. Once the temperature is reached, cook the steaks until they turn brown and are cooked as we want them. After they are cooked, we cover our steaks and let them rest for 5 minutes and then serve!
