Why the rainbow? The first flag designed for the first Pride Anniversary had eight stripes in eight different colors. Each symbolized something special. Pink was sexuality, red was life, orange was healing, yellow was sunlight, green was nature, turquoise was magic, blue was serenity and purple was spirit.
On June 28, 2021 we celebrate International Pride Day, which was established on June 28, 1969 in New York. This day is the beginning of the movement for the rights of homosexuals and LGBTQI worldwide.
So if you want to add color to your life, you should make the most delicious cake!
Ingredients:
250 gr. butter
200 gr. white chocolate
450 gr. sugar
350 gr. water
500 gr. flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 pinches of salt
two vanilla
3 large beaten eggs
various pastry colors
For the white chocolate ganache
500 gr. white chocolate
250 gr. whipping cream
100 gr. butter
Instructions:
For the white chocolate ganache
We start our recipe by preparing the white chocolate ganache that will be used to coat the rainbow cake. Cut the chocolate into small pieces and place it in a bowl with butter and cream. Put them all together in a baking pan over low heat and stir regularly until melted. Our mixture needs to be completely stabilized, so we leave it at room temperature for several hours. If the temperature of our room is low then the mixture will stabilize quickly, otherwise it will probably take an entire night. Once it has stabilized, beat it with a whisk to make it fluffy, so that we can spread it.
For the colored rainbow cake
Preheat your oven to 140ºC in the static oven or to 120ºC in the fan oven. Grease the cake tin with a removable base and non-stick coating
and spread non-stick baking paper.
Put all the liquid ingredients in a saucepan over low heat and stir regularly until completely melted. Allow the mixture to cool for 10 minutes.
Then sift the flour and the baking powder with the salt and vanilla. We start throwing 2-3 tablespoons flour in the mixture with the liquid ingredients stirring with a whisk and then add the beaten eggs until our new mixture is homogenous. Finally, add all the remaining sifted ingredients and mix gently with a spatula. Divide the cake mixture into 4-5 bowls and add to each one a different color of pastry, as much as we like to appear the desired color and start pouring the mixtures one by one in layers in the form (always in the center).
Bake in a well preheated oven for about 2 hours, until the knife blade comes out clean from the cake. To unmold it, let it cool for 20′-25 ′.
Tip 1: If you put your mixture in a heart-shaped cake pan with a non-stick coating, after it is baked and iced, you can serve it by filling it around with candies and other sweets to make it look like a cake, making it even more impressive!
Let's color our every day with irresistible pastry flavors and let's put love and acceptance in our lives!
