"The Smile of the Child" was founded in 1995 by 10-year-old Andreas Giannopoulos, who shortly before he passed away expressed in his diary the desire to create an association so that all children have what he had generously: love, affection, interest, respect. The dream of 10-year-old Andreas came true and today the Organization "The Smile of the Child", having been recognized internationally, with a vision: the Smile of every child, implements nationwide, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, effective and immediate actions for preventing and confronting specific phenomena that threaten children.
To date, "The Smile of the Child" has supported more than 1,200,000 children and their families. Children victims of all forms of Violence, Children victims of Extinction, Children with health problems, Children who are or are threatened with poverty, have found a solution.
The Organization is staffed by specialized scientific staff with the valuable support of volunteers, while it relies on citizens and companies, who, trusting its work, support it in practice through donations and sponsorships (official data from the website "The Smile of the Child").
