Giant, hot, festive chocolate cookie by Athena Loizidou

Recipe ingredients

200 gr. salted butter, cut into pieces

80 gr. almond butter

200 gr. crystal sugar

110 gr. brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 large eggs

200 gr. flour for all uses

1teaspoon baking powder

100 gr. dark chocolate, cut into pieces

100 gr. white chocolate, cut into pieces

Recipe Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.

2. Put the salted butter into a cast iron pan 28 cm that is suitable for direct use in the oven, on a medium heat and let it melt. Remove from the heat. Add in the pan the half of the almond butter, the sugar, the brown sugar, the vanilla, the eggs, the flour, the baking powder and mix them. Finally, add the remaining almond butter and the pieces of dark and white chocolate.

3. Transfer to the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cookie is cooked around the edges, but sticky in the center. Remove from the oven, let it  cool for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with sea salt (if we want and we like the salted caramel flavors). Serve with vanilla ice cream balls.
